Skin prepping for bridal makeup

Your wedding makeup will look its best when your skin is healthy and well prepped. The month leading up to your wedding is the perfect time to focus on simple, consistent skincare so your skin is glowing on the big day.

4 weeks before

Focus on hydration and consistency. Drink plenty of water and stick to a simple skincare routine with cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, and SPF. This is also a good time for gentle exfoliation once or twice a week to remove buildup and keep your skin smooth.

2 to 3 weeks before

Keep your routine consistent and avoid trying any brand new products. Your skin needs time to adjust, and the last thing you want is irritation or breakouts right before your wedding.

1 week before

Prioritize sleep and hydration. Continue gentle exfoliation if your skin tolerates it and focus on keeping your skin moisturized so your makeup applies smoothly.

2 to 3 days before

Keep things simple. Cleanse, hydrate, and moisturize. Avoid harsh treatments, strong peels, or anything new that could irritate your skin.

Healthy skin creates the perfect base for makeup. When your skin is hydrated and well cared for, your makeup will apply smoother, last longer, and photograph beautifully on your wedding day.
